Today is National Wine Day in the United States and the eve of English Wine Week (May 26- June 3). I missed February 18th which is Drink Wine Day (putting it in my calendar now!).

I thought it would be fun to match the personality of Velsoft Palatial Head Office staff with the personality of various wines to answer the question: Which Wine Are You?

Here are the unscientific results of this exercise.

  Wine type Wine Characteristics
Michael, Luke Zinfandel Bold, original, practical and a bit acidic.
Cindy Carmenere Spicy, outgoing, natural, better in assemblages than alone.
Dave Sangiovese Medium-bodied, earthy, great conversation partner.
Ben Tempranillo Hint of leather and tobacco with an undertone of vanilla, medium acidity, balanced, honest wine, brings people together.
Scott, Jim Nebbiolo Confident, assertive wine with hints of tar and tobacco and indications of truffles and mints. Tends toward high acidity.
Carol Petit Verdot Better in assemblages than alone, adds additional color and a unique flavor profile, can be a sharply acidic in certain situations.
Sandra, Kevin Cabernet Sauvignon Full-bodied, intuitive with a wide range of usually darker flavors. Leaves an impression.
Ian, Brandon, Sydney, Dylan Pinot Noir Quiet, reserved, and thoughtful wine, grown in the right environment can be exceptional.
